Keep in mind all impressions one gets from a
character’s description, actions, words and feelings.
What conclusions are we are supposed to draw? 
                                     

Why is the setting, both time and place, significant?
How are we supposed to view these characters?  In what
setting would their actions and attitudes be out of
place? Why?

Discuss symbols evident is story.  Include names,
events and other images.

What ironies are present?  Be specific as to label and
examples from text.

Analyze Meaning:
Is there more than one message from this story?  Is there
more than one audience?  Be prepared to elaborate.  

What other factors should we consider?  Explain.
