Most Dangerous Game Once Upon A Time Analyze Character: Describe Characters’ characteristics. Use detail. Keep in mind all impressions one gets from character’ description, actions, words and feelings. What conclusions are we are supposed to draw? Is character development the most important factor--as opposed to plot—(Character-Driven)? Analyze Plot: Does the plot have a familiar pattern? Is it predictable? Is the Ending Determinate or Indeterminate? Is Plot the primary focus (Plot Driven)? Do you see any Plot Manipulations, in which the author is "forcing" the outcome of the story so that it pleases or shocks? Analyze Meaning: Does the story seem to attempt a "moral", simplistic or otherwise? Does the story impart some insight into the human condition, or merely record the aberrant behavior for shock value? What other factors should we consider? Is the story, overall, more interpretive or Escapist?
