ASPECTS REQUIRED OF EACH PAPER
- You must use quoted text from primary source in every paper
- Double space
- Use legible 10-12 point font...no italicized or script fonts
- You must also use secondary sources, directly quoted, in ALL body paragraphs of all works you produce in this class

PAPER 1
- Discuss meaning of lyrical poem you have chosen, using 3 to 5 critical perspectives, including biographical, historical, gender, cultural, feminist and new historical.
- One primary source
- Several secondary sources
- 5-7 pages,
- Works cited page
FINAL PAPER
- Choose an author or a work from the list at the end of the syllabus. Be sure to focus on 4 -9
critical perspectives. Analysis
should cover either a series of poems, a short story, a full length novel or a
long play. Any fallacies should be noted.
- One to seven primary sources
- 5 to 7 secondary sources
- 9-14 pages of text
- Works Cited page
