HOW TO GET IT
In order to engage in the weekly chat sessions in this class, you need to go to www.cccconfer.org. Click on the PARTICIPANT/STUDENT LOGIN. The next page will offer 5 types of room...you want the middle one called MEET AND CONFER. Choose the appropriate meeting name from the list below and click the GO button to the right of the meeting name. You will be prompted to enter your information...a name, a valid email address, an in-chat handle (keep it clean; using your name ensures you get credit for attendance) and the passcode you will find listed below.

To send a message, just place your cursor in the smaller rectangular box in the middle of the left side of the page and type away...hit SEND or your ENTER button and it will appear in the room. If you want the chat room to be more prominent (we will not be using the whiteboard that dominates the right side of the screen), go to the icon above the room that looks like a screen (between the printer icon and the list icon) and choose the WIDE LAYOUT, which will place your chat room more prominently in the middle of the window.

Anyone can use this, including MAC people....make sure you have downloaded the latest java applet and that you open the file that gets downloaded... SEE YOU THERE!!!
